The edge protector applicator, also known as the paper corner protector machine, is a device used to apply paper edge protectors to pallets during the pallet packaging process. There are two types of this machine: one for applying short edge protectors and the other for applying long edge protectors. The method of applying short edge protectors is generally not realized through a standalone machine; instead, it is typically integrated with the main equipment. For example, a pallet strapping machine can be integrated with an edge protector applicator to place short edge protectors while strapping. In contrast, what is commonly referred to as an edge protector applicator is usually the equipment for applying long edge protectors, which is often used in conjunction with a pallet stretch wrapper.
